Been recently getting back in the game after quite a few years out. Back in the day link exchanges were an easy tactic that obviously got abused to the point where they carry significantly less value (although I would argue still some since it is natural that some of the sites a strong authority site links to would likely link back).
Towards the end of my previous time in SEO people were shifting to 3-way exchanges and more complicated linking schemes. My question is this - Wouldn't it make a lot of sense to trade "one way" links? Many of us here have many properties, I think it would be beneficial for me to link to Person 2's boating site from my fishing site in exchange for their technology site to link to my electronics site. Even though the intent may be for SEO purposes, exchanging links between related "money sites" with some quality content around them could actually be beneficial to visitors and for SEO. Not having the target sites interlinked, and assuming IPs are diversified some these links would look very natural.
Even besides higher quality properties, I imagine those with PBNs or other properties only for link building purposes would also want to do similar with those sites.
Are there reasons why there isn't a link trades and exchanges forum here? Are there places where people do trade one way links between their properties? Is there a reason people aren't doing this?
