Question landing page affiliate marketing

So i've got a question about this affiliate program: https://diabetesfreedom.org/affiliates/

They say that affiliates must Use a landing page or quiz in between the ad and the offer before running our ad campaigns,
and that we can use their landing pages,the thing i don't understand is that on their landing pages there is directly the option to buy for the customer doen't that count as directly linking to the offer?

Or is it that when they say that we souldn't link directly to the offer they mean the checkout page?

Direct linking is linking ads to the offer page. A landing page in between is not direct linking even though it got links to offer.
