Question- is it a problem if i post article without images?

Hello everyone.
This is more a question to understand google more.

So i have some articles without images.

Should i add images and then publish or just publish and add them later?

Will google penalise me?

Image post is optional, not mandatory. You can find so many high rank website out there blogging without image post.
 
Adding images makes articles more interesting for readers. Nobody really wants to see 3k words just as a wall or text.

Depending on the length of the articles, add at leat one image in the body, you can add alt tags etc too.

Does the post warrant a feature image?
 
In some type of websites, there is no need of images even in long posts. I am currently developing one such site and have not added a single image so far.
 
It is not a problem, but think of it from a readers point of view. Its a lot more engaging, pictures also help clarify the main pointt of the article usually and overall its more pleasant to theeye
 
I have basically 1500 word posts.
my website hasnt passed the sandbox yet... its only 1 month old.
i want that google crawls them and meanwhile i add images.

i dont know if without images google will rank them lower than with images.
 
There is no problem. You can publish your article without image but if you use an image then it will be good for SEO because you can insert your keyword in IMG Alt tag.

I agree with you. Images are used to help users understanding the post.

It's also okay if you are not using Images.

I don't use Image for Web 2.0, Article Submission. I use Images on my Money Blog only.
 
There's no reason for you to get penalized for adding images later if you choose. But for most sites, adding images helps retain visitors. Human beings are visual creatures, so having images increases dwell time and reduces bounce rate. Which some say affects SEO.

There's no reason not to use it since there are so many royalty free pictures you can find online. The longer people stay on your site, the longer they will see your call to action.
 
You should always add images. It entertains and engages visitors. There are a lot of WP plugins as well that can help you with this. In order to use images licensed for use on your blog or add proper credit.
 
You potentially missed the Google Image traffics and some weird semantic tags I guess if you do not add image in your post, at least add one in the "feature image" section, and some themes just won't display it. (while some will display it at the beginning of a post)
 
You should use atleast 2-3 images. It improves user experience. You can also have some plugins or custom code that shows social media icons when you hover on the image.
 
No specific element is mandatory to improve engagement, but something on the pages has to do so, to optimize the user experience. If the page is to only have text, perhaps the font of the text body should be larger (like 125%) to encourage readability. The overall design or theme layout should be cleaner and nicer.

And the element that is added can be mixed up---images on some pages, an embedded video on other, a quiz or poll here and there, a download or giveaway, or some combination. But if the text body is tiny, ugly, and usually not paired with any factor to encourage dwell time, a higher bounce rate will follow.

Not all images you need for your article can be found in royalty free websites... sometimes is really hard to find an image that has to do with the points you are talking for.
 
im currently a newbie on blogging.
i just want to pass sandbox and see some traffic.
i dont have any results... for mr getting 10 visitors a day would be eye opening experience.
so im not really focused on efficency, seo, call to action, monetisation, etc...
I just need to see some traffic even if they have no intent.
 
90% of my post have doesn't have image mate. So don't worry
 
Images are recommended, especially if you want user engagement. The theory is that it breaks up the monotony of words on a page and makes users more likely to stay and read all the way through. If it's a web2/pbn property, you probably won't need them or you can just throw a random image in to be safe.
 
You don't have to add images, but it will probably better if you do so
