Question. Interlinking tier 1

Is there any benefit into randomly and chaotic interlinking of tier 1 links. I mean I guess they could in some way increase the relevancy of your tier 1.

Interlinking your tier-1 or for that matter any other tiers, will leave footprints and expose your tiers to Google. Thus penalizing your entire link building effort subsequently your money site.
Infact, as i see it, one of the major difference between "linkwheel" (which used to work) and "tier based linking" (which is working currently to some extent) is that one needs to avoid all/any footprints that may link your tiers in any way.

Think of a bunch of sites in the same niche that have resource pages, they often all link to each other.

Soclal platforms are also a good example of that where you can set it up that Twitter automatically posts to your Facebook and such, or a forum where your profile page links to your website and your social profiles.

As with everything, just don't over do it, and don't try to create any chains, just keep it random and chaotic like you described, nothing wrong with that.

This was what I was thinking. Sites in the same niche naturally interlink together. Of course not in a chain or some pattern.

Got it. Now I just need to find a way to make gsa interlink with each other.

I would avoid any form of interlinking if I were you. It just increases the risk of getting caught and there is little to no benefit to interlinking sites.

This is where most of the people make mistake for example you are making a blog at wordpress.com as your tier 1 this blog should not look like it was made by you for the only purpose of marketing(building backlink to) your money site. The best approach would be to treat this wordpress as complete different site in your niche which has good content on it and doesnt have your money site all over it. I have seen people watermarking pictures with moneysite logo and posting them on tier 1 properties.

Let's put it this way: While interlinking can appear naturally, too, it's not needed. The additional positive effect is neglectible. I'd avoid any additional risk if there isn't any reward for taking it.
