hi

i have a question how can i get my keyword no.1 in google

one of my friends is scoring no1 for a very popular word with only 20 backlink

my question is there any way ether than the backlink .

LOL,

A very broad question here. A few things you can do are

1. Keyword research - find the variations etc
2. Compare the keywords with the competition (not just how many competing results, but how well optimised the competing results are)
3. Write plenty of text and get your keywords in the text about 5 times (on an average 5 paragraph site)
4. Don?t forget a H1 with your keywords in (must be in a grammatical sentence)
5. Make your title tag a grammatical sentence
6. Get your keywords in your meta description
7. Link each page to the other one using their relevant keyword as anchor text
8. create a html and xml sitemap
9. Create a robots.txt file pointing towards your xml sitemap
10. get on dmoz

Thats a pretty basic start, you should see some results for some longtail keywords in about 6 weeks.
