I hope someone here can enlighten me. I was looking at hostwinds shared hosting and I saw the "ultimate web hosting" with unlimited bw and stuff..then I was thinking..if the ultimate web hosting is all I need since it's unlimited everything, why would I need to buy the business hosting plans..

FYI: I'm expanding my network of mms and need to host many sites in a server..

Thanks

Avoid Hostwinds at all costs. I got on them just early this month thinking that BHW is hosted on them so they must be good.

Slow connections, support ignoring you, long downtime, pirated Windows OS, rebooting VPSs WITHOUT ANY PRIOR NOTICE had all my bots running interrupted.

Worst hosting experience ever. You've been warned.

I didn't hear any of this, but I did hear to stay away from them... But this is even more incentive to not even go near them! Ouch! :(

I was thinking of them as I like their pricing and packages but jeez, this place is down about as often as its up and I know its got a lot off traffic but still doesn't give me much confidence.

I need to pull the trigger this week on a reseller plan and have been researching a bunch. It is tough to make the choice, that is for sure.

I thought differently, seeing that BHW is hosted by Hostwinds, makes me want to stay the HELL away from them lol. BHW goes down every 5 damn minutes

IDK about support and anything, I'm not a member there and they may be some good people but the hosting I see on BHW isn't a positive one

Guys, Not because bhw goes down then the host is bad. bhw doesn't go down because it's sharing server with high traffic sites or because the host has a bad network quality. It goes down because it is a target of ddos attacks which your site won't be a target to but I would still be alarmed about the feedback from "BHMillionaire"

BHMillionaire, It seems you are on windows hosting to run some bots, it might be the other guys on the same server are running shit loads of bots with tons of concurrent connections and hogging the CPU causing the server to be down.

Just thoughts from a 3rd party.

I'm currently with hostwinds, I haven't noticed slow connections, and support is fast in my opinion. The prices are also very nice.

Scripteen is right, DDoS attacks will take down any website, depending on the strength of the attack; don't blame it on the host.

However, I've only been with hostwinds for about 2 weeks, so if anything does turn sour later on, I'll move over to a different host.

I use a hostwinds business plan and I haven't paid that much attention but the load speeds are decent, and the support is better than anywhere else I've seen.

Our windows hosting is not live it is in a closed beta, which is why you can not buy it on our website, we are working with a few select client's on perfecting our windows VPS platform, when we have perfected the platform, then there will be no problems with it. BHMillionaire, I am sorry you had probblem with your windows VPS, but I believe you have been given a full refund.

Support was somewhat slow over the past week, myself and another technician were in Dallas working on upgrading BHW's hardware infrastructure as well as deploying 20 brand new servers for all of our other clients to get even faster speeds from. We want for our hosting to be the best experience possible for all of our client's. Now that we are back fully staffed with technicians, with new servers to support our growth, support times will be back to normal, usually getting a response in under 30 minutes

Any bhw black friday special on shared hosting from hostwinds? Looking to pick up a few new plans to stick some small traffic sites on.
