2 youneed a smpt account , if yiou cant buy it then you need this !
a ubuntu server , and install smpt server on it , install an email sender software , or install appatche server , ok ? then lookup for a php mailer ,
then boom staart sending ..

You wont be able to track emails using a software. Use a proper service like sendgrid and reach out to them. I have seen people even sending 10M emails at once but they were using enterprise plans. Unless you use a professional service all of it might end up in spam.
 
Sendy + AWS -> I have sent almost 300k emails.

Please take care of 2 things -

1. Request Amazon to increase the daily limit
2. Make sure you have less spam [ read: bounce rate > 5% ] else amazon will block you. It happened to me 3-4 times but escaped after opening service request. Now I have filtered out that list.
 
Try self-hosted version of Mumara with the combination of PowerMTA based mail server. This would help you deliver sizable amount of Emails. On the website of Mumara, the self-hosted version is listed as MumaraClassic. The other later developed email product CampaignsPlus is the hosted one.
