First of all hi @ all, im new here and didnt have to encouter anything greatly related with SEO so far, but this place looks like I can learn so much more.

Now to my "silly" questions, now you would think why would this dude want to remove his SERP when entering his domain into google?

when googling my domainname + "experience" or "ratings" some really nasty stuff is coming up from a big "competitor" and I dont know why or how. And I do not wish my namebrand / domainname to be associated with their filth.

As firstly stated Im not really into SEO so I have limited understanding of this. I have tried to check the compititors site that explicitly pops up when googling my domain name +"experience" for hidden SEO or backlinks but I guess im too noob for it.

Can anybody tell me how I need to modify my site that it will not pop up for certain google searches likes this?

Im hosting a wordpress website with elementor.

Hope this is the right section if not please move me thanks!

if it's your competitor's pages that talk negatively about your brand there's nothing you can do about it, you're basically at his mercy. You could try to outrank him with 10 pages / sites owned by yourself, but I doubt that you're willing to take this bankrupting route... and it's a cat and mouse game anyway because if you outrank him he'll build more pages to outrank you and so on. The evilness is immense with some assholes, unfortunately :(

Anyway, my personal opinion is that there's nothing you can do about it, but what do I know? I never had to deal with it before. Maybe someone else can provide a better answer...

Thanks for your input, after re-reading my post I must add / edit: I cant call it a really a competitor. Its just a landing page that follows up with some nasty information about a service I provide with my websites. and it only shows when googling my domain name + some keywords.

Maybe I have to change some of my sites Meta tags or how its called to not be associated with the page? Any idea where and how I could start? I though about just slightly changing my domain name, that would fix it already i believe, but my namebranding is pretty strong already, so that would be my last resort.

Cheers

as you said, changing the domain will help but you're gonna lose your brand's power, so I don't think it's a good option.

Have you tried contacting the owner / editor of that site to ask them to remove the negative feedback? If that site is not big / popular you could also try negative SEO it into oblivion, but this only works in rare cases and for weak sites usually, if that site's domain / brand is strong google will simply ignore the shitty links you might bombard it with.

Also, there are ORM agencies that specialize in precisely this kind of thing, but I don't know how they work cause I never needed them, so don't ask for details :)
