Question: How to monetize my Twitter accounts

I have a twitter account with 2500 genuine followers and two more with 500 followers each. I tried to monetize them, but I only earned pennies so far. So My question is, is there a good technique to monetize my twitter accounts anno 2012? Please post a bit more details than "CPA Leads". Links to good threads etc. are appreciated too.

Get them to sign up to your email newsletter (aweber) an wait a couple of days and spam them with a bunch of CPA offers.

mylikes earn me 5$ a day on my early age on IM thats about 6 months ago.. I focus on large scale but it help me to get started Good luck
