Hello,

This is a technical question.
I have a friend that has paid for an online course. he logs in and then there are some videos that he watches. He says in his agreement with the course provider, it said he cannot copy or save the videos on his computer. if they catch him doing such thing, they will end his account.
I know about several video downloaders for firefox, like downloadhelper and flash downloader (i believe we will need some kind of flash downloader because the video seems to be in flash)
now my question is: if we download the videos this way, is it possible for the site owner to find out? if yes, how?

It's a hard question to answer, because we don't know the details.
But catching a download is possible.

But you can circumvent this tough. Just record the video using Camtasia, or any other similar software. It can't be detected.

1. i dont think so.
2. you can get what ever u want in youtube or in google.
3. try torrent site to get ebooks.
4. try stackoverflow.com or that particular programming related forums to get more examples and tutorials.

paying for course if rubbish. if u have strong will, u can learn even from bit of paper.. see bill gates how he built a OS out of crap :d

That friend of yours most probably does not want to share videos with you. as others suggested you don't need them and everything you need to learn is available .
