Question before I buy my domain name

Hello guys,

I am going to buy a .info domain name but I would like to know if it is a good idea for SEO.
It is an EMD, 27,000 searches a month and a ppc of 13$
Do you think I have any chance with .info to make a first page? Thank you!

The extension is never a problem with ranking, your strategy is. The only thing is, a particular extension might be more popular with a certain group of company or institution like .edu for educational sites, .gov for government and more. They make it more expensive so that only the people in the right channel can afford. Enjoy the ride all the way..

depends on which timeframe do you want to be on #1, new sites rank lower. The extension shouldn't be an issue

.info domains ranks as well as all other domains. However, you will need to do some work to get on #1 - it seems to me that your niche probably has high competition.
