I don't think i expressed myself well enough.
When i buy a keyword ( you buy them right?) as people search it and get onto my site, my ranking rises correct?
Also backlinks are basically me promoting my site on social media, ads etc?

Hello mate. you need to buy back links or else you need to create back links to your site.
