[question]At which age did you start learning to code?

Always had an interest but I was probably 25 when I wrote my first line of code in c#, and only because I needed to solve a problem in my day job. Continued to develop and maintain the applications for 4 years, left around year ago to become full time software engineer. The most enjoyable Job I have had so far :)

You thinking about starting?

Yes I'm 21 , in med school and thinking to start my coding journey with python.

But I don't have any computer science background.

Check out Alxafrica, they are offering a one year intensive course for anyone who wants to become a software engineer. Their next training begins in August (next month).

Which language and how's it's going now?
Started around 11. In an obscure language called BASIC. I learnt it from a manual I got along with a shitty computer that I bought from a neighbour for $10.

I am 18 now. Looking back, it reminds me how much I have learnt and seen along the way. From writing for-loops in BASIC to making websites with ruby-on-rails to fucking around with Haskell and Delphi to reverse engineering APIs and pirating programming books cause I couldnt afford them.

I will not mention my age, I will just mention that more than 22 years have passed from the first line of vb code

At 13 I was in school & we were taught LOGO & then BASIC in next classes. It did help me with basics of programming.

10, playing around with VB 3.0

Around 30. It was fun but now i moved to other things. Maybe i'll try it again sometime.
