Question! And need help.

Someone who makes about 400+ a day from unlocking phones on two sites needs a paypal since his IP and his paypal is limited,
so he wants me to use mine on his site to receive sales.
he'll give 50-100 dollars a day just to let him receive sales on it.

Can anyone let me know if unlocking phones is illegal, or is this some scam or something bad of some sort?
My paranoia get's the best of me.

do you know the person offering it to you personally? is he one of your friends?

anything which involves strangers wanting to give you money for free is BS and will get you - in the best case out of money - in the worst case in prison.

edit: saw the guy's post above me.. if its your mate, then maybe, but still.. I would rather just do my own business which I know is 100% legit.

You should worry more about the IRS and paying taxes on someone else's income.

Yes, it's illegal to unlock smartphones.
So i'm worried it could be some sort of money laundering, or trying to have the payee be me and take the blame on sales and profiting off such a entity.
Because if you're making that much, why not buy a business account and not a limited Paypal?

Unlocking phones is against the TOS of the phone manufacturer.
Phone manufacturers can decide to make the phone factory locked or unlocked
for personal interest ofcourse and they have the right to do and undo since it's
there product.

I don't know if paypal frown on such things,
thou i still believe if there is no issue for paypal
to raise an eye brow they won't. But if clients
regularly raise dispute and refund comes in,
PayPal is definitely going to limit such account
even if the service rendered is legal...
