Question about writing a book..

WHAT'S UP FREAKS?

Here's the dealio. Answer this question for me and I'll love you forever, maybe even send you a virtual high five or some sh**.

I'm writing a book. An e-book in particular. Now, I'm reading tens of thousands of pages from quality books. I want to take the BEST of what I read in these books and PARAPHRASE IT COMPLETELY to be written in my own book, along with A PLETHORA OF MY OWN THOUGHTS. DO YOU KNOW WHAT I'M SAYIN'?

I was wondering if sources still needed to be cited if the words were completely paraphrased. Of course, if I am citing scientific studies, I will be including that within the end citations. I was thinking only quotations and scientific studies would have to be cited, specifically because they won't be altered or f**ked with.

What do you think, peeps?

Even if you rewrite something, it could be considered plagiarism.
Your writing needs to be substantially different to the original author.
Where you quote significant passages then cite the author.
Where you have written original material (even if it is based on other work) then you do not need to anything, although you could list your sources in a further reading section.
