Hi guys. On one of my autoblog i use wp-o-matic plugin. Now after so many months of use my file count in wp-o-matic\cache directory is getting huge and host provider is starting to bitch about it. Is it safe to delete files from that directory or is that going to mess things up. Please let me know. Thank you very much for your help.

Same happened to me.
I deleted some old ones and it kept working just fine.

You should be alright if you do.

do you mean that you deleted the whole cache directory of wp-o-matic ? Thank you

Ok can anybody else that knows about this stuff give their opinion about it. thank you

Hi:

You can use the 'file count' link within cpanel to identify files you can delete to reduce your file count.

Some files are critical to WP and plugins, while others can be deleted.

For example, tmp/mysql_slow_queries files can be deleted safely. leave the folder in place, just delete the mysql slow queries files. I did this.

However, double check with your host to confirm this tip. Just chat with them to ask if is ok. That is what i did.
