Question about wordpress templates

If you are creating a one page site - ie nobody needs to contact you, sign up for newsletters etc - is it better to go with a one-page template, like elevate, or still create a multipage site splitting all the info up? Does Google frown up single page sites?

For which purpose you need wp templates?

For example creating an info page about a castle or some kind of tourist attraction. There is not enough 'info' to realistically fill more than one page.
