Question about WordPress downloads

Hi All,

Got a question.

We'd like to host a 'resources' area on our website, where you need to sign up for a mailing list in order to download a PDF of resources on our website.

There are some free plugins out there, however, they look horrendous. Any idea on a plugin that is aesthetically pleasing as well as functional. Paid or Free.

Appreciate all help!

What about sending emails with resources after signup?
You can use Contact Form 7 for signups and style your emails as you wish
 
I'm using WP eMembers (paid) and Download Manager (free) for the same purpose.

If is free download why not just create directory and upload then later send link in Email?
