Hi guys,

I didn't find a proper answer to this so I decided to create the thread, so we can discuss about this a bit.

I am building backlinks to YT Videos, and I recently made a case study for one that has a keyword with 2200 exact monthly searches.
I am doing all manual backlinking to high PR websites, using diversity.

I have this doubt, how does Google manage the indexing for the backlinks I am creating that point to my video? in this case in particular I am building web 2.0 properties: wordpress, tumblr, blogspot, weebly, squidoo and hubpages as tier 1 backlinks. The problem is the following, these posts/articles are all indexed, but I cannot see the link juice helping my video rankings.
I am using Ahrefs to check my backlinks (If you have a better resource please share :)), and I only found that a blog from wordpress and the article in Squiddo is appearing as ******** backlinks, but what about all the other websites? I created all those posts/articles like a month ago, so it is more than enough time to see the positive results.

What could be happening? why aren't my other sites appearing in ahrefs as ******** backlinks? I checked each one of them and they have all links with anchor texts pointing to the video, and they are ********, so it should be working.

Ideas here will be much appreciated!
Kind regards,
Marce

Hi,

As in my experiment indexing is only based on quality of the article and where you posting your article. The web2.0 that you listed is Good one but are you using unique quality content ?

You can do re-tweet and Google+ share your back links, Do Social Bookmarking.

PS: Ahrefs may not show all your back-links

Thanks

Yes I am using 1 unique article per post/article I create. Then I make a SB Bomber blast to those.

The use of linklicious.me to ping the links should make a difference? I never pinged any of them.

What seems to be working for me, mass pinging sb blasts.

What you are saying OP is that you are trying to get your backlinks which is "A youtube url" Indexed?

Backlink indexing in Google and ahrefs are two separate things.

Ahrefs bot is not as strong as Google bot, G bot crawls all page on regular basis while ahrefs ratio is very lower to that one.

So if ahrefs is not showing the backlinks you created, No need to worry about. Google must have crawled those links as these are put on high PR websites.. Crawling and Indexing are again two separate things... :)

Well if you want to confirm that Google has crawled those links or not then you can do it by several methods; if you leaving only youtube link without anchor any anchor then google your YT link and you will find all pages containing your link, you can also write your link in double quotes to get more accurate results. Second method is a time taking, if you have list of page where you posted your YT link then you can use Google cache feature. If your link is visible in cached version of that page then it means Google has noticed a backlink for your YT video.

For backlink checking on large scale and for established sites, ahrefs is best one.

Thanks

Excellent reply Allen thanks, that was exactly what I was looking for.

What I wanted to know is why the backlinks are not showing in ahrefs when I built them correctly in the posts/articles, and having in mind that more than a month already passed, they should appear, to let me keep track of my link building strategies

Backlinks needs time to appear in any backlink index tool but Google is very smart, if it crawls your backlinks usually it does not show them for a longer time even in Webmaster Tool.

there is thanks button ;)

Very often Google won't show you everything. I have plenty of websites with backlinks (not YT vids though) and Google will show they only have a few or none.
