question about video post robot

The optimize button works for avi and mpeg's as far as I can tell. It really does bring the size down a lot. wmv is already optimized and as small as it can get I guess. If you throw in a 1GB avi and hit the optimize button it will bring it down for like 30MB for example. Certain video formats don't work on every site, wmv and mpeg seem to work on most of the sites.

Great work guys, Now see if it was worth it ie. sales and/or traffic. But I have a question, where do you get the videos to begin with? Do you make your own with a camcorder, or alter other videos already online? For me the first issue would be where to get a video, then formatting it would be like step 2. So the trick would be to get a quality highly watched video up on those sites, then get traffic to your site or opt in list or to an affiliate site for a purchase of whatever. So how would you tie in a video say comedy or music to a particular widget you are selling?

I gave rep to Viper and Buzz. I cannot use watermark factory because on my vista machine it just will not load correctly. I am using Watermark Master instead. I followed Buzzkill's directions and loaded another wmv but this time changed the the bitrate to 768k (the default was 512 in Watermark Master). It loaded to youtube correctly with sound.

Now I am loading to the other networks and see the videos. Does the sound and video quality differ from network to network? Because on some networks the quality is almost flawless and on other the sound and video are extremely scratchy.

The copy write cops seem to be very quick. I don't get how all these videos stay online for so long, maybe they are a bit more fierce when you brand an affiliate URL on to it. Myspace nailed me instantly, then made me read a page on copy write infringement, then re-instated my upload abilities.

I think that once again, this is an opportunity that is only limited by the imagination, I wish the posting was a little faster, but cant have everything.

I have also noticed that some videos dont make it to youtube because of a malformed format or something and I thought that was the fault of the optimize button, but I am thinking that might not be the problem.

I really was not careful to document all the different settings I used because I became frustrated and started changing all the settings. In order to upload videos the file names have to be without odd characters, so renaming the videos is somewhat of a hassle. I think that when I copied the file and renamed it, thats when I was having issues, might be screwing up the extension or something. I can see that there is a small amoun of traffic being generated from the videos, no sales yet on a decent looking ringtone site, but there might be better ideas for this. I have to give it some thought.

I am going to see the Bucks / Wizards game tonight, my GF styles the coach and the announcer for the Wizards when they are in town so they left 4 tix for us at the will call, hopefully they are good seats. So I will work more on this tomorrow. Too bad I don't have a BHW hat or something.

I have an extra ticket if anyone is in the area and would like to go to the game.
