question about video editing and conversion

Hello fellow blackhatters

I am looking for a program to edit .mp4 files to add text to the video .... then resave it as a .mp4 file without having to convert all of my work from a different filetype . I do not want to save my project in its own unique format.

Currently every video editing software (windows movie maker, AVS etc) i download saves the file in its own unique format (.wve etc) and these files cannot be converted to .mp4 with any video mass conversion software i can find.

Anyhelp is greatly appreciated and my thanks clicking finger is waiting lol.

Premiere Pro is good working with MP4s, you'll also have the ability to add text over the top of the videos really easily. And you can export as an MP4 in H.264 too. Requires no conversion either.

There is a really good conversion programme I use called MPEG Stream Clip, it's for Windows and Mac. Quick and simple to use. Hope this helps

If it wasn't h.264 to begin with then it will be doing a conversion.

Premiere pro is a monthly based subscription program. If you have an educational email account, you can get the student discount.

Use Shotcut, it's a free software and you can use it to convert any format. Check YouTube for free tutorial
