Question about Twitter account ban - is it IP ban also?

For example if I run multiple accounts from the same IP and these accounts get a ban, will twitter ban this IP as well?
Or just the accounts?

I've never had a IP ban from Twitter, I've had well of 10 accounts suspended, depending on why your account has been suspended, it might become unsuspened, mine was, so I'd suggest you keep track of all the suspended twitter accounts if they are any good, but I've never had a IP ban from Twitter, if you do, just use proxies.

Once an IP is flagged they ban all of em on that IP usually within a few hours of creation

I just had 150 accounts suspended last week. Did you have to request they be unsuspended, or did they just do it automatically, and how long did it take before they were restored? In total I probably had 100k followers on those accounts and it took me 2 months to build that shit up, I am so pissed! Never retweet the same message across all your accounts (thats how they nailed me) so they must be looking at IP's when you tweet now... My stupid software doesn't support private proxies (paid $250 for this POS software too!)

I got only 1 account banned so far, and they haven't banned any other accounts I created with same IP...

I've just had 10 accounts banned all very quickly. The tweets were all different apart from the link they were promoting. Question for Stock Why would https// sort it? Must look into proxies as well

Twitter never ban an IP.It only suspends the accounts made from it if made in bulk

I have 1 real twitter account (My own) and a few IM ones, had a few banned but my main twitter account has never been.

Actually twitter allowing multiple accounts from same person. So having multiple accounts at Twitter is simply legal and there is no need to worry about ban.

I think they do ban IP's. I had about 28k twitter accts that I used on a daily basis tweeting from, having a good ratio of marketing to tweeting in general. They banned all those accts, and when I make new ones on that IP, they get baned within hours. I can make them on proxies and stay alive, cant make them on that 1 ip though

If you're doing any volume (even 1,000 accounts or more) then yes they will ban your IP. I've had 5 static IPs and about 500,000 accounts banned in total (I make them, they ban, I make them again, etc). Now I just auto-create kamikaze accounts that I can have more fun with knowing they are going to die for the cause .

Tips to delay banning:
1) Don't go near bit.ly (they're very cooperative with twitter)
2) Don't use the exact same image (or even group of images) across lots of accounts - they're using profile image comparisons like MySpace used to back in the day (if the image is exactly the same size as one from a banned account, it's automatically compared to the actual banned image and they ban the new account)
3) Don't use the same or similar description, about me URL
4) If using the same tweets across multiple accounts, use RT (retweet) in front of them - they have tolerance for that but no tolerance for just going crazy with duplicate tweets

Twitter deletes around 600-1500 (real people) accounts per hour, 24 hours per day. No telling how many bot accounts they kill daily.

What I do to keep my bot accounts alive is scrape all account info from active live accounts on twitter. The name, pic, bio, background, everything. Pull it all straight off twitter, randomize it, and then make unique accounts. This gets you around most instant kill filters that twitter has.

I also setup the accounts to scrape other peoples live tweets and tweet them too. This makes your account look more natural, and then when i want to promote something across thousands of my accounts i do it using RT so it all looks like normal user accounts who are rt'ing about what i am promoting.

You MUST use proxies if you are going to mass create accounts.

I have a thread on here telling my main method, but i'm not posting it in the thread because I'm not interested in hijacking anyones thread, but you could look it up if you wanted to.

so, follow basic mass creation strategies and the vast majority of your accounts will always remain alive and well.

It also helps to have your bot accounts have followers, but that part is pretty automatic due to other peoples software finding your various profiles based on keywords and following those accounts. But this is something i will likely get more active and aggressive in doing pretty soon.

I have a comment or two here from my experience.

1. Proxies private are not working either. Some how I have used 4 companies all supplying private proxies. I am now using Squid Proxies. After about a week of SAFE usage and assigning 1 IP per 2 accounts, I get all the IPs BANNED.

This is not the accounts, this is the IP which is banned from accessing T.

I have no idea why or how this happens.

1. I am not promoting
2. I am not exceeding the stated dose.
3. I am using tweetfollowing - livelybrowser.

This software is by far the market leader, but recently it seems T have added some form of algo to counter act this.

A. @RAM are you certain you are correct - I think they do ban IPs, infact my IPs cannot even access that website with or without the bot or software. This is my major issue with Tweet following. It used to be amazing by finding and replacing IPs automatically but now it seems nothing seems to work when operating normal functions, adding , removing, posting etc.

I could be very unlucky in that my proxie providers are all talking bullshit and they are doing something elswhere or sharing my "private" proxies.

@fish Why do they ban IPs and not the account - surely if they suspect bad operations and dodgy stuff they will ban the account not the IP?

@website - what constitutes a flag on an IP and do you think that I can be getting 25 flags each fortnight to ban them all at once? These are different IPS like 212.78.90.11 and 85.30.11.222 etc.

Perhaps they ban IPs now as they know this is better for them than banning accounts... maybe account bans are less effective as you can just create new accounts with IPs. So banning your IP cleans them up better?

They ARE sharing them, I've used them a few times and every time all my accounts have been suspended, these are accounts I haven't spammed with or anything because I was aging them, 1 per IP. I was only 90% sure until google asked me to put a captcha in because of suspicious activity on the IP...Obviously they aren't fresh and are being used more than they should be.

How can I verify this with my crook company... this is very interesting to learn...

Private proxies can be shared to my knowledge. Dedicated proxies your for your personal use only.

Yes but Twiiter do ban proxies as these proxies work on the net but will not access the Twi t er site at all.

When the proxies go bad - they work on all sites except T...

This means that they clearly do ban proxies!!!!

You may just be getting junk proxies.

Or something you are doing is owning you.
