Hey, I bought a theme from themeforest and installed it on a subdomain on my website.

I want to list the website for sale soon, but before I do that, I want to add some more subdomains.

What will happen if I use the same theme on 2 separate subdomains? I have paid for the theme, but it was a single site license. I guess I'm not allowed to do that?

If It's on the same website, it should be fine on multiple sub-domains technically. But even so, you should be fine, no one is going to come chase you for installing on 2 sub-domains. You should be fine.

I bought one theme from themeforest . the theme designer had it own support forum
sometimes I went to his support forum and ask about problem on different domain using the same themes
he didn't seem to care so I guess it's alright with him.

You can buy another Regular License theme for using on subdomain. License works on instance basis so you need to buy RL for every subdomain you wish to use the theme on.
