Question about tagging big Instgram accounts in post

Hope everyones doing well. I have recently noticed that a lot of content curation accounts tag a whole list of top Instagram accounts (with the maximum number of following like Selena Gomez, Kim Kardashian, Real Madrid, 9GAG, etc.) in their original posts. The number of tags usually range from 10 to 50.

My question to you fellow BHWers is, how does that really help? And does it have anything to do with reach or engagement? Please do shed some light on this if you know what I'm talking about, thanks in advance

Please excuse me if this is disallowed but I really need to know why even some of the big accounts are following this practice. Does it help in any way? Any inputs will be really appreciated!

Got any examples of accounts doing this ?
Only thing I can think of is getting a chance of being seen by the famous peoples followers who check out the tagged posts.
