Question about submitting articles to high PR article directories

I have a bunch of unique professional level articles on my website (between 500-1500 words each), they aren't really dense in keywords as I wrote them before getting into IM. After lots of reading I see that article submissions to high PR sites is a good way to get quality backlinks, so my question is this, if I submit articles to Ezine etc, can I still have the same article on my own site or may Google rank me down for it? Sorry if this has been answered before I was having no luck with the search.

Make sure google indexes the article on your site first if you're going to reuse them on article sites. I would leave website content unique and not mix the same content with article directories though.

I do this with all my websites and don't have any problem, Instead of writing out a unique article for ezinearticles, goarticles etc... I just use the content on my websites.

Yes, content syndication is a valid marketing technique and it is expected by the search engines. Good quality articles are constantly re-posted in their entirety elsewhere on the web, often shortly after they are first uploaded (think news sites).

I guess you should rewrite it though just be sure that when you rewrite the article it is still of high quality. The original articles must be send to Ezine or Go articles. You must remember that both must not have exact same content, because Google will not show either one of them. So, the best thing that you should do is put your website's link into the original article the one that will be sent to article directories.
