Question about Stealth accounts(Ebay/Amazon)?

Well for a long time I THOUGHT I knew what the point of stealth accounts were but I've realized I also seen people say you can get banned on stealth ebay and amazon accounts.So someone tell me am I right,for ebay stealth accounts the whole purpose is to just get back on ebay if you've been permanently banned right?If so then why is the term "stealth"even in the name if you can STILL get banned from using them?I'm a firm believer of starting your own website for e-commerce if you plan on making a living from it but I still know Ebay and Amazon have a good source of traffic/luck so I'm still gonna sell on there but I'm just wondering should I even be worrying about getting a stealth Amazon and Ebay account.The only thing truly beneficial I've read about Stealth accounts were is you don't have to use your own info but honestly,that really doesn't bother me since I'm not dealing in stolen/counterfeit stuff.


Also,when paypal sends you the 1099 tax form would you still have to file taxes at say hr-block or so if you've only made money with paypal?

That's one part of it. One HUGE point you're missing is that having multiple accounts at once reduces the risk of your income completely crashing due to a ban. For example, at any one time, I'm pounding 4-8 eBay accounts. If any one gets banned for any reason, that's not going to put me out of business. And trust me...a LOT can go wrong, especially if you're putting someone else in control of shipping and quality control for the merchandise. I have been people who got shut down because their drop shipper developed a drug problem and suddenly stopped shipping...I have also seen someone get shut down because the drop shipper purposely decided to put them out of business (well, that was me...I was the dropshipper and I decided to screw someone who tried to screw with me)

If you ever become a reasonably big player in a niche, there are multiple benefits of being anonymous. For one, the company that orders my merchandise from China is totally different than the company that sells on eBay. Therefore the suppliers can't track exactly what I'm doing, so they can't backstab me as easily.

You have to file taxes on ANY income. IRS will match the Tax ID you provide to Paypal to a tax return and make sure the numbers match.

Yeah I was always planning on having multiple accounts on pretty much everything I do on the net for a reasons so that definitely wasn't worrying me(Amazon I wasn't too sure since I read so much on their strictness I didn't really want to give them any reason to just up and ban me since I've read Amazon has one of the strongest ban systems out)

So if I get a stealth account how would I go about sending the money to my bank safely though(assuming if you get a stealth ebay a stealth paypal should be used with it)?

They go one level further than eBay. I'm all for stealth accounts on eBay but best way to make amazon $$$ long term may be to build your legit account, or at least create semi-legit ones.

Remember, that paypal doesn't ask for info because they want to be dicks, they do it to fulfill legal requirements. Banks only tell paypal two things. 1. Is this a legit account #? and 2. Can this account take deposits? If your paypal is registered in the country whose bank you're withdrawing from, unless you do some shady stuff and bring scrutiny on yourself, paypal doesn't really care where the money goes. One of the points of stealth is to not to draw attention to yourself so stuff like this doesn't become a crippling issue.

Yeah I'm honestly considering putting more effort into Amazon and my own e-commerce sites than Ebay.I've heard nothing but good things about Amazon for the most part,the only things negative I've heard about selling on there is 1.They're strict and 2.They're a little harder to use than ebay(I assume they mean the upc codes or something,I haven't sold on Amazon yet because I wanna make sure I know what I'm getting into so I won't screw my account up and get banned for life).I honestly do believe making a living on Amazon is more reliable than one on ebay,I knew of a guy who was dropshipping designer purses on Amazon(which we all know are replicas since designers like LV,Gucci and such don't do wholesale)and makes pretty GREAT bank and has yet to encounter anything stopping his business.Someone said something about Ebay which makes alot of sense saying between fees,cut throat sellers who'll end up running you out of business by tainting your account if your price is too low and un-educated spontaneous acting staff Ebay is just a race to the bottom.It feels like I really don't hear up and coming sellers making a living with JUST ebay and honestly with all the stuff that happens I see why,the feedback system is a gift and a curse(more so a curse).One thing that also scares me about Amazon though is it sounds like they have no problem just dropping a state for legal reasons(now this might have only affected the Amazon affiliates)
