Question about something weird in Flippa

Sometimes on Flippa I see seller sell a website for 10%-50% of it's monthly revenue. So for example they say their website makes $500 a month and sell it for $200 on Flippa.
Is there something I am missing ?

You need to be careful with those ones. After a couple experiences with Flippa, I'll never use it again. Anyways, my experience is that those type of sellers often don't disclose that their traffic is paid. They might be making $500/mo but they might be paying $500/mo too.

Personally, the only thing I would buy on Flippa in the future would be domain names and not "businesses".

there are some older threads on here detailing those scams. Just ask yourself why YOU would sell a site for less than you make in a month off it by doing nothing (as they usually claim, or next to nothing), when it takes close to a month to sell....hmmm....seems legit......
