Question about signature link.

I'm wondering a bit here.

I'm an active member on a couple of forums, with a couple of thousands post on each site.

If i change my signature, it will change in ALL posts.

What if i put my Money site URL in my signature, will it then count as backlinks?

If so, then i easily got 4-5000 PR4 backlinks.

They will all come from the same domain.. won't do much.
 
Yes, of course do it. I do this for a few forums too. But the most threads doesn't have a pr and it needs month till google has indexed all. But all in all it makes sense and it helps you to rank. Especially when the topic of the forums is related to your niche..
 
You need to check if those forums have do-follow or nofollow links.

If it is a nofollow link it is not worth much. Most big forums have a nofollow link for the signatures.

Another thing, which I am not 100% sure of, but I think if you have 10,000 posts on a forum, and you use a signature as a backlink, it still only counts as one backlink, not 10,000. This is due to it coming from the same site.
 
The forums are not related to my niche...

But will it count as thousands backlinks, or because they are all from two domains, count as two backlinks?

If I make three links from the same forum to three different URL on the same page.
Is it three links, or is it still only 1 link?

If you make 3 backlinks to the same url then it will only count one link, but if you make 3 different links to different urls then it will be 3 seperate links.
 
But i know a few websites which have only a PR2 because of do follow signature backlinks from one forum. So I think that 1000 backlinks from one domain count much more than only one link..

As As many I'm using I seen if i do update I get the effect all of my old post
 
Does this forum allow signature links?

This is what you do, if you can apply it.
You post links to 3 web2.0 properties, than those 3 link to your money site. Therefore you are gaining a substantial amount of pr juice that trickles down to your money site.
 
you will get many backlinks but they are in the same domains..
