Question about SEO

Hey. 2 months ago I invested about $750 in SEO but I got no results . Here's the thread where I mentioned the packages I bought ( http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/black-hat-seo/679651-how-much-does-take-rank-kw.html ) The website is not penalized as I can find it for other keywords, but it didn't rank for my main KW.
I have another website, in another niche that is ranked on page 5 on Google. I didn't do any SEO for that website, but it's about 2 years old and I used to make youtube videos pointing to that website.
My question is: can I somehow use the backlinks from the other website to make this one rank on first page? Lol sorry for my dumb question, but I'm a big noob when it comes to SEO

how's the competition on your keywords? did you point links to your homepage or to separate articles?

Redirecting the old site should only be done if you are aiming to do BH and gain quick rankings (since your old site is pretty spammed). If you are looking for long lasting results then you should start from ground zero by creating a strong brand.

Once you have the brand and all of its surrounding elements then you can proceed to implement web exposure solutions such as SEO or SMM. Focus on quality and try to reach your audience by other means that SEO; after a while you can then start to implement SEO for best results.

Also, I would not suggest you going after a single keyword; make sure to diversify the incoming links to all of the URLs under your domain, otherwise it might get flagged.
