Question about SEO tactics..

My question was about which keywords I should go with when trying to rank for google.

I already purchased 2 months of seo for 3 different keywords about 6 months ago.
After doing that, I purchased about 35 well written articles on those three keywords, along with a couple other keywords here and there.

I am about to purchase another 100,000 words from this same person within the next few days, and within the next 2-3 months I plan on purchasing 6 months of good SEO also.

So my question would be this... Should I focus on making the next 100,000 words worth of articles, as well as the 6 months of SEO, on the same three keywords that I purchased the SEO for last time? Or should I be branching out to more keywords.

Just so you know... I have a website based around vegan, tips, info, and recipes

You are wasting resources on 3 keywords. Expand your horizons and target numerous keywords.

Don't take this the wrong way but you don't know what you are doing.

Just hire someone to take control of content and SEO.

Posting 100+ articles on 3 keywords won't help much, you only need 1 good article focusing on 1 keyword or you can target all 3 in the same article if they are related.

You then rank the article with links.

As above, you only need 1 article per keyword. If you want more content on your site then either branch out - new keyword per article OR start adding some sub pages from your 3 main keywords and target some long tails.

Then you can invest a bit more in SEO.

As for where to target your SEO efforts, well it depends where you are currently ranking for those 3 keywords and also their potential value.

Why are you running such a small campaign? Why are you concentrating on that content vs. some content and a quality link building? If you have some questions, let me know and I'll try to help you out. There are a lot of tools out there to see KW density, competitor analysis, etc.

Make sure you are not overlooking the fact that it is very rare for people who are searching for something to put in a one word query. Sometime's as in most cases people put in a phrase when they search. So vegan, tips, info, and recipes would never occur as a search term however vegan recipes and recipes for vegans is more natural those would be better keywords. It is a really small campaign tho.

100k words articles? wow that'd be a lot of money wasted. The amount of articles you have does not guarantee you to rank those keywords. It's the backlinks that matter.

I must admit, I really don't have any idea what I'm doing as far as SEO and ranking keywords on my website goes.

I would have no problem hiring someone that does know what they are doing. Can someone point me in the right direction?

Pick one keyword you want to rank for (usually the most profiatable or the most searched for from your list).
Pick a few long tails or related keywords that would fit well into the article. Example: your main keyword is "vegan benefits", you could include "top benefits of being vegan" "health benefits of being a vegan" "physical benefits of vegan diet" - they would all work naturally in your article.
Create 1 high quality, LONG article that includes all your related keywords
Rank that article - you can target your main keyword and longtails when link building.

Then move to your next "set" of keywords.
