I just listed a couple of items on a second account that I have only used for buying. My selling account is 5 years old and has no problems and uses all the same info and paypal.

I'm just wondering if when I make a sale will there be a hold on the funds since I have never sold on this account before. Not sure if it matters but this account is 4 years old.

Thanks in advance for your replies.

Yes, they will hold your funds because your ebay account has no sales history.

So they will hold the funds on my second account even though my main account has over 2200 transactions?

Yep, because your ebay account is fresh :)

Well you both are wrong. There is no hold on the funds when selling from my second account. Made a sale a couple of days ago and the funds were immediately available in my paypal account.

Really? Congratz, sometimes it happens. We'll see how its going on once you will start to sell more and more items. I had the same situation. A few payments were not held, but when I started to get more and more payments, I've got 21 days hold for 60 days.

In my opinion its because of your paypal account and not your ebay.

Yep... Pretty sure that is it. Was doing some reading and Paypal is the one that initiates the hold on the funds until you become an established seller.

Since I have been selling for 5 years with that Paypal account, they did not hold my funds.
