Are scuttle sites really helpful to get backlinks?
My experience is different... I post my site ,by a free service, to 174 sites. Nearly 150 posting were shown successful but only 6 back links!!!!

    I am confused, please help.

To get best results in backlink building, don't just bookmark your site on scuttle sites. Go a step forward - get the URLs where your story appears on the scuttle sites. It is easy to find this URL by clicking on your account name or clicking on the tags for your story. Once you collect these URLs, submit them to services like pingler. This will help your stories to get indexed in various search engines.

By pinging your profile you can alert the search engines about the their existence, crawl the stories thus quickly giving them a status of backlinks to your site.

You might want to check the backlinks using google webmaster tool or yahoo siteexplorer, better than the link:yoursite
