Question about scanning proxies

I have access to a VPS that allows port scanning. My question is, if I scan for proxies with NMAP, what can I do with the proxies if I am not using them? Should I start a site offering free proxy lists? Or can I sell them, is that possible?

There are already alot of sites that offer lists.

Any advice is appreciated.
