Question about redirecting an aged domain

Hi all

Just a thought but i was wondering if this would help my serps at all,

If i was to buy a 8 year old domain,
with a PR of 5
moz rank of 3.4
moz trust of 5.3

and redirect it to my money site?

I've just checked this link and it only had 7 referring domains, so im guessing its not that valuable.

If anyone could also explain to me why a site with only 7 referring domains has a PR of 5?

What did you use to check the referring domains?

Redirecting the link will not probably benfit the other site.

I checked it on majestic seo, i also checked on OPE and used the link: command in google
