Hey guys, i got a problem. I was able to connect to RDP from my computer without any problem at all, but i recently got a problem - i'm not able to connect via RDP to that server anymore , i get this error when i try to connect: "Remote desktop can't connet to the remote computer"

I tried to change my computer IP, i also tried to remove this RDP from saved connections and tried to add again, but same thing. I even contacted support of RDP provider, and they told me that on their end they're able to connect to this RDP without any problems and the only solution they can offer me is to reinstall my RDP.

Any idea what's the problem??

I encountered the same problem with one of my VPS's s a few days ago and I couldn't fix it , sadly I had to terminate it and deploy another one ,so in your case OP you should let them reinstall it for you and probably change the IP of that RDP

Thread moved.

Maybe you were connected to vpn?
I mean did you install any vpn software and connected to a vpn location?

First thing to do is try to figure out whats causing it. Have you tried using your phone on a different network (mobile) to see if it works. Something in your network or PC could be blocking it.

I have active BST thread and i am selling $1000 digital ocean cloud hosting account for $100

Same as @nirose I suggest to try to connect to the VPS from your phone. If it works, there might be an issue with your computer.

Otherwise, what service provider are you using for your VPS? Have you talked to the support already?

Funny enough, for me sometimes it was the other way around. Internet didn't worked on my laptop, but it worked through RDP. It turned out, it was an issue with my DNS settings. So maybe that's worth looking into.

That mostly happens with your firewall or a small option on Remote settings called allow machines within this network only. Some application can trigger that for your safety. When that happens your locked out.

To avoid this issue only QEMU comes in existence and many hosting providers out there dont use them and they simply suggest you to get reinstalled. Any how windows are weird we cannot predict when they break..

Good luck :)
