Question about proxies and linkbuilding.

Hi BHW,

Thanks for all the info so far; I'm just about to buy my first domain, launch a site, and start building links.

My question is: should I use proxies to build links? It seems to me that there may be some benefit of having a different IP come up for all of the article submissions, forum posts, and manual blog creations that I'll be doing.

If I don't use proxies to "mix it up" won't everything I do just point back to me and not have the desired result? I'll be creating a link pyramid with the help of a guide I found here. I just wouldn't want all of the work to be in vain!

I searched for "proxies for linkbuilding" in G and this thread is ranked #1 on page 1.
 
Um I don't think Google will see what ip are you using, but it can see the website's IP. I think proxies are meant for programs that you will use so your IP won't get banned :)
