I am starting to set up polls, and every poll I see has the user clicking 'yes' or 'no', and getting redirected to the CPA offer page. At this point the traffic is gone. By actually giving them results (even fake ones), we reinforce the behavior we want - to click on polls and fill in email addresses, zips, etc.

Is anyone actually giving any kind of answers to their polls? I would like to get the user back, give them the poll results, as well as possibly utilize the traffic in other ways. Ideas are appreciated.

I'm actually coding this functionality into Poll Factory 2.0 right now. This is not something i've ever done, so im having a bit of a hard time figuring out the best way to "display" the results. If anyone here can offer insight on what might be the best way, that would be awesome.

Here are some of the ways I've thought of.

    1. Show results on a page with the offer framed/iframed: This is kind of a shitty solution because a good number of CPA offers have frame busters.

    2. Popup window with results. Will probably get blocked by popup blockers

    3. show a "results" page for 5 seconds or so, and have it auto redirect to the offer. This is what i'm leaning toward, though i dont like the idea of giving the user time to navigate away from the page.

If anyone has any other suggestions, please, let me know. It has to be legal since its going in a software project and will be used by many.

How about show the results right away in a DHTML popup window to mitigate pop-up blockers? The next click can go right to the offer.

Is the Poll Factory ever going to show up in the B/S/T?

    If it's a good deal I'll buy a copy.

Yes, i'm holding off until 2.0 is released, which is very soon. im expecting it to go beta next week.

if you are thinking about purchasing, i would hold of and wait for version 2.0 to be honest, 1.0 isn't bad, but the new version is going to be unstoppable :D

I thought you mentioned a price increase when 2 is released.

I also thought you mentioned a free or discounted upgrade which is why I was going to buy 1 and upgrade to 2.

Looking for beta testers? I've never set up a poll or tried to market one if you are looking for a "poll noob" to give it a run through.

Thanks for the heads up. I was about to pull the trigger today but will take your advice and hold off.

I read all about your software and testing before and really admire your honesty.

Way better than expected. There haven't been any major issues from any of the 10 or so beta testers so far.

Just gotta finish the stupid documentation now...man i hate doing that part :pcguru:

I like the results function ********. Is this Pollfactory 2.0 or your own version?

Results like Johny Pro's can be easily done in Poll Factory 2.0's theme engine.
