Hey All, I read somewhere that you have to ping a website every 3 days so it gets indexed. I got a bunch of backlinks and I have not seen them updated yet on google. Does anyone know how long I have to ping for? Also is there a software where I can check all the backlinks that are on my site as well as PR?

I am not sure what do you mean. I often make a sitemap and then submit it to google, and then I would ping my all product url list and using some rss site to make a rss, then use feedburner to burn it, and after those were made, I would submit the rss to bookmark sites and ping my all lists(product url list, rss url) using mass or bulk ping and so on. Then it would be indexed by google the second day.

This is my way. (Sorry for my poor english)

Well I ordered this gig on fiverr to get backlinks. Apparently I have to do some pinging before it shows up on google. I don't really know how the pinging process works though.

You can simply use a service like pingomatic to ping your links every couple of days until you see them indexed, also make rss feeds and ping those too, make sitemaps and ping them too.. Also take in mind that google does not index everything, so if your backlinks are pretty low quality and spammy might not get indexed at all

you just need to get your site pinged/bookmarked for the first time in order to get it INDEXED Fast...You need not to do the same job again and again..

If you put new content (if its your blog) it will keep on getting indexed faster every time...!

just try to bookmark them..it will works well..you can also use the service like lindexed or backlinkindexer/.

Pinging alone won't help. You need to build 2nd tier/3rd tier backlinks in order to index your 1st tier link.

Backlinks won't get updated on Google. Try checking them via majesticseo.com or ahrefs.com

I feel bad for asking but what are tier 1,2, and 3? What does that mean?
