    Hi,
I am planning my first authority site. I will silo the site with customs menus.
But one thing is not so clear:
I checked the main authority sites in my niche. Most of them have the following Permalink Structure:

    website.com/main-category/sub-category/sub-sub-category/postname

But the main authority site, ranking for the killer keywords has the following structure:

    website.com/main-category/postname

Even the posts are just available in the subcategories the permalink is like that.

How I can get this custom structure?

Sorry when this is a stupid question, but I have never seen structure like that.

After looking tons of amazon authority sites, I notice that they mostly use this permalink structure - domain.com/post-name

But I thought not too impact to search engine results.
there are some many using this structure.. domain.com/p=?.....
also have good ranking if they do optimized content and seo offpage.

and what about this popular one -> mashable.com
    their structure domain.com/yearyear/moonmoon/dayday/blah-blah-blah-and-blah

you login to your wordpress dashboard, Settings -> Permalinks.
    then you choose: Custom Structure.

    and you change /%year%/%monthnum%/%day%/%postname%/

    into

    /%category%/%postname%/

If you finish, tell me if it is work or no.
