Say I get 10,000 links from a negitive seo'r to mydomain/innerpage1 what would happen if I just 301 that mydomain/innerpage1 to say.. matt cutts blog? Does this stop the attack without the need to figure out how to remove all those links to my site?

I am aware this idea would only be useful for inner pages as 301ing your homepage is useless.

Would google still be mad at those links? Would it pass the bad link stats and also keep them on my site as well?

Thoughts?

probably nothing would happen as matt cutt's blog has high authority trust and can handle the spammy links. the more authority / trust a site has, the more spammy links it can handle without being penalized
about 301'ing an internal page, i don't know, if you get penalized, i mean your domain gets penalized because of too many links to an internal page, 301'ing won't remove the penalty

Ya his blog would be fine. I am wondering if my site would be messed over. Would a 404 be better? So now those links are pointing to a page that doesn't exist?
