Question about parasite SEO

If you can rank a parasite website with spam then why do you need a website in the first place? Can't you sneak your affiliate link in the parasite? I know some don't allow it but I believe you can with blogspot or Wordpress if you have decent content on it? What do you guys think?

Most people rank the parasite then change the link once ranked.

Spamming blogspot or wordpress will eventually lead to being deindexed and penalty. You need to put it in better domains IMO. The idea behind having a domain is to be able to 301 your affiliate link to your link on the parasite after it has passed the scrutiny of mods.

If you are making a blog for your parasite, can you redirect it once it reaches 1st page. I'm not sure if you can add redirect code to a hosted blog.

Because you CANNOT rank most parasites, especially blogspot and wordpress, for any decent keywords. The very few parasites that can rank very easily with spam have mostly found ways to block their use as parasites(iReport.com comes to mind). Unfortunately there are not many good parasites that exist for ranking purposes anymore

wordpress and blogspot, i dont see them as that kind of 'parasite' bcs they're free blog on a subdomain; i think the real parasites that's spam-resistance are the one like behance, rebelmouse, kiwibox etc

IS yahoo answers still a good reliable parasite?

The reason people go for their own websites is because it offers them complete control over everything. Parasites are for quick ranking.

This answers nothing. Did you even read the thread or are you trying to get your post count up?

A website is useful because you could redirect it first to some wikipedia site so it looks like a legitimate source but once the parasite starts ranking you could redirect to your aff link OR host your own landing page on it, some think their LP's convert better so they use it instead of the original one of the product. Also, you could use the site as squeeze page to capture the email before letting the user through to the product.
Third reason I could think of, what if the product suddenly stops selling? You can't redirect an affiliate link.

BTW:To answer your question: Last time I tried redirecting a blogger it worked perfectly fine. Just find the basic redirect code for html and put it in the head of the page.

To the guy who claims parasites can't be ranked, why would people use parasites then? Ranking for good keywords is still possible with parasites, but you can think otherwise. Less competition for me!
