Hello Friends,

If I update Meta tags for all my page once in 6 months, will it affect my ranking?

Thanks

That depends upon backlinks, may be just because of daily update, your ranking can slip also.

In a word, no. "Google does not use the meta tag in web ranking". That's it!

changing meta info will likely effect your rankings one way or another. I guess we need to know why you are changing them, what you are trying to achieve?
If you want to change then I assume you think they are not optimized well enough which means hopefully the change would be positive.
But I think it needs to be carefully considered.

Provide a bit more info and we can probably help.

Meta tag is just an small description to the post, No need to change every 6 months.

Google skipped meta tag factor from it's algorithm much time ago

From my personal opinion, Yes. When I changed it, my rank was fall down just for few days.

Not only Mata Info, any change can affect your ranking.

The simple answer is no, however a lot of people find correlation where this is none and will tell you otherwise. Are your rankings likely to improve in 6 months after the change, yes, but does it have anything to do with the change of meta tags, NOPE!

In 2009 google published this content
Code:
http://googlewebmastercentral.blogspot.com/2009/09/google-does-not-use-keywords-meta-tag.html

Hope you will understand, will it good or bad ! The simple answer, "NO"

after update meta-teg description - you can receive more clicks in SERP, of course if you description will be very good

Meta keywords are useless, and meta description affects only CTR.

Why you wanna change your meta tags? do you have very ranking with your current meta tags?

Simple, he may be seeing in webmaster tools that his link has a low CTR and by changing his metadescription he might be able to get more clicks.

The main reason I wanna change meta tags is because I didnt get improvement in traffic and SERP ranknig as well :(

Have you tried using SEMrush or ahrefs to see what your competitors metatags are? Usually, using the ratio they they have optimized is the best way to ensure you have the best metatag ratios throughout your site.
