I was on the CJ website and in the footer area, there was a link to Nexus Tax. As a non US resident, do I need to bother about this? I do not live in the US nor do I have any company or LLC there. This was a big hurdle for me when I was considering drop shipping. After a specific threshold, I am to pay tax in each state which would be quite tedious for me.

If I am to start affiliate marketing on my website, and I use CJ or some other platform, do I need to look into Sales Tax in the US, if my primary audience is US based?

The majority of the states do have nexus taxes. The majority of them don't require you to pay anything unless you make a couple hundred sales or a couple hundred thousand dollars worth of sales in their state.

Since you're just starting out, I wouldn't worry about it for now. You'll need to be very very successful before it becomes something you'll even need to think about.

And when you are that successful, you can hire a tax professional to help you out if need be.
