Question about multiple websites on same host

Hey guys, I'm curious about if it's safe to create multiple websites using the same host. Will google not like this?

I have hosting with hostgator and I have the baby plan that allows for unlimited subdomains... is this advised?

I was also wondering this, say I have two domains with the same ip address and one is marked as spam will that hurt the other one?

It doesn't matter.
One of the reasons is that ARIN no longer has IPv4 space so they push hosting company's to do shared. Have you ever tried to get an additional IP? They make you justify it!

I can't remember where I read it but Google has publicly stated that for the most part they punish domains not IPs.

So bottom line, don't worry about it unless you are trying to inter link and pass PageRank.

I do not think there is a problem with that. However you should avoid interlinking them.

It had a website that was on a virtual hosting account. Once someones other website was blacklisted for spamming... It effected my email because we were on the same ip.
