I know this is a dumb question but I have a private proxy but it asks for the Proxy username and password. I would like to know what you put there? Thank you.

If it is a shared proxy it won't let me put it and keeps saying that the username and pass are wrong.

Who's your proxy provider?
You need to authenticate the proxies before use, either by ip or username:password.

Well I used cheapprivateproxies at first but I realized I just wasted 10$ on their proxies so then I bought a private one from High Proxies.

there are two different type of authentication for private proxies:
1) ip address auth
2) username:password auth
most providers use both, but sometimes they use only one of those

as the above poster said, you either need to authenticate your ip address on the control panel of your proxy provider and/or you need to use the proxies in the format of: ProxyIp:ProxyPort:ProxyUsername:ProxyPassword with most tools, if the provider uses this kind of auth, you should know about that, because the proxies are provided with the login credentials after purchase

Also make sure you're buying "instagram proxies" not just regular private proxies, those won't work on instagram since they're banned.

Alright sweet, thanks for the info. Way more helpful than the proxie sales threads on this site.

I use Mexela dedicated private proxies for instagram/social media. Got from them UK dedicated private proxies as I verify accounts with UK sim cards. Found actually today Lebara mobile sim cards for £1 with £1 credit on it. Usually, you have to top up other sim cards with at least £5. You have to use the sim at least once every 3 months. Sending only a text message within 3 months, the £1 credit will last forever. That is so far the cheapest solution I found since the virtual mobile number where you got paid for the use have all restrictions now to avoid the abuse by us IM just to use their services for activating accounts.
