    hi guys,

i currently have a Wordpress website with Hostgator on a shared server. I've never had any major issues and i'm overall happy with my hosting experience with them. now that my business grew i need more diskspace and although loading times are okay, the first bytes could do way better. i now need a faster service and a long term solution.

i was presented with two options, a managed worpress package with no cpanel, and cloud hosting. the price is roughly the same. i was initially thinking of going with managed wordpress, however i lose some of the control i have on my website, which it's something i don't want to let go of unless it's a very good deal. at the same time, i have no idea what cloud hosting is and how it works.

which option do you believe is best suitable for a wordpress website and which one would potentially offer a faster experience? thanks a lot.

If you are looking at growing the site and still want control why not move over to a VPS plan. Going to be the best option as your site grows in size and traffic easy to scale. Most wordpress hosting plans are nothing more but a shares server with the terms now as Wordpress hosting.

Cloud is another Great option but you still dont have full control of the site. IF you are looking at growing the site I would say My next move would be VPS

thanks for the input, guys! VPS is too expensive for me at the moment and my site's traffic doesn't justify it just yet.
it probably won't for the next 2 or 3 years.

i don't need to have full control of the website, especially since i'm self thaught and i lack knowledge to take care of, say, a VPS. but i do like having cpanel access and being able to decide what plugins to install, when and how :)

i didn't know managed wordpress would be on a shared server... that puts me pretty much in the same place where i am now.
would Cloud hosting be a good solution for now then?

    Hi
If you want to grow your business then I suggest you go with the VPS hosting with Cpanel to get full control on the website.
