Question About Keywords in Domain and Page Name Url

So lets say I have keyword rich domain - musthavewidgets.com and I target my state only. For my individual city pages is it better to have musthavewidgets.com/city or musthavewidgets.com/city-widgets?

Personally, I think the city-widgets maybe seen as keyword stuffing since keyword is in original domain and city page url as well, but I see it with other sites offering similar products and services and RankMath says to have it. Should I follow the competition and RankMath or keep it way it is?

I would not repeat the keyword again, no.

You can actually test this. Create one page like that and the other differently. See which one performs better. All other things should be very close.
 
Thank you, I didnt thing so. Site is new, so I wanting to make sure I am good from the beginning and didnt need to change things already set up.
 
The key is to make the search engines understand quickly what your page is about. You don't have to repeat the widget in the city part of the URL. Just call it musthavewidgets.com/city-name

But you are still selling the same widget under a city (worse if you are going to have multiple cities). If you just keep writing the same stuff about your widget but inserting city names on different pages, that is going to be viewed as poor quality content and you risk getting your pages indexed in Google at least.

Yeah, I got to get that under control. I basically copied/pasted same content for a few city pages to get them indexed. Probably screwed up by doing that for those pages, but I am rewriting over the weekend to correct the issue.
