Hey guys, I want to start a new website and I just had some questions about how you guys do things.

What is the best way to go about making a content plan with keywords? Like what is your process of doing it?

When writing informational articles, do you guys only tackle one topic/question? Or is it ok to include multiple questions in one article if one topic isn’t long enough.

For finding new topics I just put my keyword into ubersuggest or google for the related keywords, do you guys know of better free options?

I hope to start a journey soon to track my progress once I finish all this planning :) I do feel quite overwhelmed but I will figure it out.

For keyword research I use semrush and kwfinder. I go for keywords with less competition/difficulty and I write the article targeting it.

I wanted to build a website based on ads but decided to stop while I was doing kw research and go with something else.

Ahrefs is a great tool, and they have a lot of videos on how to find keywords, check this video, it is for new websites.

There are also a ton of threads here on bhw, you can find them in less than 5 minutes using the search button at the top right corner.

Good luck.

Thank youuu!! I’ve looked into both semrush and ahrefs but its just too costly for me right now, and I can’t spend so much on them. Ya I am looking over multiple threads here but I also wanted to know how other people do their content planning because I am kinda finding it pretty hard to come with new topics but so far I have two. Maybe its part of the process haha. Thanks for the help appreciate it

Personally I like to educate myself, look at the best in the field and I leave a good night before attacking, your subconscious works hard during your sleep to help you solve the problems ... I assure you that it plays a lot to boost your creativity.
Ok, so we are the next day and the hot coffee is next to the keyboard. I always start by writing the whole text in one go. I try not to think of the keywords precisely but rather of the user experience, to really explore the subject and make it interesting for my reader, there must be a notion of pleasure.
I then go back over the text several times, again and again to detect its imperfections (in my native language, in English I have a lot of trouble, on this subject if you know a good corrector on Fiveer I take).
Then I enrich it with ngrams.

When you join bhw, you get 30-day of semrush for free, and ahrefs is $7 for 7 days.

Go out and do something, you can earn $7 in every country on this planet.

Thanks guys!! youre right its better to use the trial and get the most out of it. Thanks again

I tried Ahrefs 7 day trial last week, fantastic tool. I was considering continuing my subscription with the lite plan, regardless of the price. But, I didn't realise about the number of data rows you're allowed a month (keywords). Burnt through mine in 6 days, so that was kind of a deal breaker! Will be trying Semrush next.

"An average report costs about 800 rows, which means that you can run approximately 6,000 reports per month on our Lite plan. "

You ran 6,000 reports?

Writing it in one go is difficult... I'm fluent in English even though it is not my first language but while writing I tend to think in my native language first so it requires a bit of editing

For keyword research, use semrush (it has a free trial of 30 days) and check your competitors keywords. Check their content and articles too
