Hi all,

Is sending some junk traffic to a blog/site usefull or not? In what does it helps?

Thanks

The only reason I (and I think most of us here on BHW) send junk traffic is to water down conversion ratios. It will not help your site rank higher on google, etc. I just send junk traffic at CPA offer pages because I convert at 20 - 30% when the typical conversion rates are around 5% or less.

Why do you want to water down your conversion rate? To avoid suspicion?

exactly, if your epc on an offer is 6 times the network epc, something is up.. so , you send junk traffic, and voila ! youre converting at 5% or below.

ok thanks for information

I disagree with the watering down thing. Personally I'd suggest getting to know your AM. If they have anything that bothers them at that point they'll come to you and warn you or just simply ask what ways you're pushing your offers. All that sending junk traffic is going to do in my opinion is increase the amount of bad leads you generate, thus causing the advertiser to shave you.

increasing youTube pageviews (and equivalent stuff on other sites),

increasing Alexa ranking (and similar rankings),

increasing top site positions,

getting more traffic frome exchanges,

are also valid reasons for junk (non-bot!) traffic

how can I check out that it's not done by a bot?
