Okay, I am considering getting an iPhone 5.

However, I was going to buy the actual iPhone from Apple, and then just order a nano sim from 3 (my network). I will then just continue with my same plan, but on my iPhone 5. I think that is a possible option.

However, is paying extra for 4G really worth it? I mean.. is the different a lot? All I do is browse, sometimes watch a few videos and sometimes tether connection to my computer. Right now, it's pretty fast.. so what do you say, 4G worth it?

4g is simply just meant to speed up the net on phones. Not sure if it's worth it though.

You'll probably not even notice the difference, apart from updating your facebook status quicker ;)

It would work and be big difference when downloading big apps. Or watching high quality videos from youtube or any other website.

Still, i think it isnt big difference, i have 3G and videos on youtube app sometimes lag, but for few high wuality videos, you just open youtube on browser and everything will be fine.

If there isnt big difference between prices then you could get 4G just in case :)

Well yeah they'll be a difference, but i just don't think it's going to make as much of a difference as they are advertising and trying to make it out to be.

True .

Speed is good for PC not for the phone, you cant use torrents on phone (actually you can but you dont do that) :D

Get Samsung Galaxy, cheaper and better ;)

And after few weeks of using you wanna theow that shit in bin :)
i think Leith and other knows that apple comes with quality not quantity like samsnug with their cheap prices

There is sayin : poor man pays twice .

Samsung beats Iphone in almost every aspect, so it's not the poor man, it's the smart man who buys Samsung.

PC beats Mac in almost every aspect, especially price. Apple products are overpriced piece of shit with a strong brand name and huge base of fanboys :)

Looks like someone never used apple products :)

I have used apple products and I think they are overpriced and I don't think all the phones from samsung are shit. GS is very good phone. I just don't understand fanboyism behind apple users. Besides in India, you pay twice for appel products and also to get support. LOL. :D

I have used $4000 (price here) top model of 27" iMac, and only thing I liked is it's fancy look. Yeah, it's fast and nice, but for that money I could buy 4 PCs with same performance.

Also I've had iPhone 3 and used my friend's iphone 4s, so I have enough experience. Only good thing I had from apple is iPod.

Okay Okay, thanks guys!

This thread was just a question regarding 4G, not where Samsung was better than Apple.

IMO - Apple produces quality products. If you have the money, buy it and you won't be disappointed. I would always choose Apple over Samsung any day!

just a quick point here and not wanting to upset anyone but in the UK at present there is very little 4G cover. I know Leeds and Sheffield will be the only places in Yorkshire that will have 4G before 2013 and that will only be on t-mobile/orange

Leith, you want to look at where they're rolling our the 4G network first mate. If you're not living in a highly populated area then it may take a while before you can benefit from the faster download rate. I also believe that EE (everywhere everywhere), the main 4G carrier, will limit its services to a few providers, like Orange and another one that I can't remember. Unless you live in London, Birmingham, Cardiff and the likes I think it'll take a few years maybe to see any 4G coverage.

If the 3G and 4G network in your region is opt-in based then you can use two different phones and download a file to test the performance. I don't have any idea about providers in your network so no idea how opt-in will work. We have 3G opt in so it's possible to opt-out after certain usage.

I am in Scotland, so probably won't see it here at its best for a good few months/years. I think Il just get the normal plan, without 4G.
